GAME DESCRIPTION

Rummikub is played with tiles that players can put from their rack on to the table. The tiles can be arranged and rearranged to make winning combinations. The game can be played in different variations to meet the requirements of the beginning player and to challenge the more experienced. For more information see this link.

CUBE TIP: Move time limit

For every turn there is a set time in which you can place tiles and rearrange tile combinations. When the time is up the player can no longer place tiles or make adjustments. In addition you can put a penalty (for instance: put an extra tile in your rack) if a player leaves unconnected tiles on the table.

CUBE TIP: Move time limit with time saving

Using this option speeds up the game and makes it more attractive to the competitive player. At the start of the game you can save time by quickly picking up tiles giving you more time later on to consider more complex options to put down tiles. Passing the CUBE to the next player signals the start of their turn and their clock starts to run. With 15 seconds per move you have to keep thinking even when it is not your turn making Rummikub a more intense game. You have to use your time wisely and decide when is a good moment to invest the saved time.
